ประกาศผลเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว สำหรับงานประกาศผลรางวัล Academy Awards หรือ ‘ออสการ์ (OSCARS)‘ ครั้งที่ 93 ประจำปี 2021 ที่จัดโดย ‘Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ (AMPAS) และถ่ายทอดสดทางสถานีโทรทัศน์ ABC เมื่อช่วงเช้าที่ผ่านมาตามเวลาประเทศไทย (ค่ำวันที่ 25 เมษายนตามเวลาสหรัฐฯ)

‘Nomadland’ หนังดราม่าที่พูดถึงม่ายสาวใหญ่ที่ตัดสินใจออกเดินทางข้ามประเทศ และได้พบเพื่อนร่วมโลกผู้เร่ร่อน คว้า 3 รางวัล จากการเข้าชิง 6 รางวัล และถือเป็นรางวัลใหญ่ทั้งสิ้น ได้แก่ ภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม, ผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยม ซึ่งตกเป็นของ โคลอี เจา (Chloe Zhao) ที่สร้างประวัติศาสตร์เป็นผู้กำกับหญิงเอเชียคนแรกที่ได้รางวัลนี้, รางวัลนักแสดงนำหญิงยอดเยี่ยมตกเป็นของ ฟรานเซส แม็กดอร์แมนด์ (Frances McDormand) ที่ถือเป็นออสการ์ตัวที่ 3 ของเธอต่อจาก ‘Fargo’ และ ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ ในปี 1997 และ 2018 ตามลำดับ

ขณะที่นักแสดงนำชายยอดเยี่ยมค่อนข้างพลิกล็อก เพราะจากที่คาดว่านักแสดงผู้ล่วงลับอย่าง แชดวิก โบสแมน (Chadwick Boseman) เป็นตัวเก็งจาก ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ แต่รางวัลกลับตกเป็นของแอนโธนี ฮอปกินส์ (Anthony Hopkins) จากหนังดราม่า ‘The Father’ ซึ่งเป็นออสการ์ตัวที่ 2 ของเขาต่อจาก ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ ในปี 1992 ซึ่งในปีนี้ฮอปกินส์ไม่ได้เดินทางมาร่วมงาน ส่วนนักแสดงสมทบชายยอดเยี่ยม คือ แดเนียล คาลูยา (Daniel Kaluuya) ที่ตีบทแตกจาก ‘Jedas and the Black Messiah’

อีกหนึ่งรางวัลที่ถือเป็นไฮไลต์ของงานคือรางวัลนักแสดงสมทบหญิงยอดเยี่ยมที่ ยุนยอจอง (Youn Yuh-jung) นักแสดงหญิงวัย 73 ปี สร้างประวัติศาสตร์ด้วยการคว้ารางวัลนี้ไปจาก ‘Minari’ ถือเป็นนักแสดงชาวเกาหลีคนแรกที่ได้รับรางวัลออสการ์ ซึ่งยุนยอจองกล่าวติดตลกหลังจากได้รางวัลจาก แบรต พิตต์ (Brad Pitt) ว่า “ยินดีที่ได้พบคุณนะพิตต์ คุณไปอยู่ที่ไหนมาตอนเราถ่ายหนังกัน”

โดยงานออสการ์ครั้งที่ 93 จัดขึ้นในห้องบอลรูมที่ Union Station ในลอสแองเจลิส และได้มีการปรับเปลี่ยนการจัดงานที่ต่างจากเดิมอย่างสิ้นเชิง เนื่องจากวิกฤติโควิด-19 ทั้งวันจัดงานที่เลื่อนจากกำหนดเดิมถึง 2 เดือน รูปแบบการจัดงานที่นั่งแยกกันเป็นโต๊ะและจำนวนผู้เข้าร่วมงานที่จำกัด ตามมาตรการการรักษาระยะห่าง โดยในการจัดงานครั้งนี้ไม่มีพิธีกรหลัก ได้รับเกียรติจากผู้กำกับดังอย่าง ‘Steven Soderbergh’ มารับหน้าที่เป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ในการถ่ายทอดสด
